I am about to expose my secret weapon. Seriously — there is nothing else like this and I have kept this a closely guarded secret but finally decided to do a review today of Content Samurai.
Why This is Unique
If you want to create good looking videos to upload to YouTube and you’re not interested in doing review videos and personal videos like I create, or if you want to do explainer videos, this product is an absolute must. What makes Content Samurai unique is two things:1. It’s deceptively easy to use. I say deceptively easy because there is so much going on under the hood and it has a ton of features but the way they lay it out, it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
What I Liked
The other thing that makes Content Samurai so good and which frankly is also something unique is the text to speech engine. Every other product I have seen which does text to speech uses something called Amazon Polly. This is a service created by Amazon and which is based on Alexa. They have a number of voices available but the technology comes from Alexa.
Now if you ever listen to Alexa reading something, it doesn’t sound very good. It sounds robotic. As you can see when I demonstrate in my review video, the voices in Content Samurai are so much better and so much less robotic. They still aren’t perfect because they don’t quite get the pitch right but they are by far the best I’ve seen and they run circles around Amazon Polly.
What I Didn’t Like
I think my only issue is that there is no lifetime option. I understand why they don’t do it — even if they charged $5,000 for it, eventually the cost of server use would make it not worthwhile for them. That said, I hate paying for anything on a monthly or yearly basis.
