Chatbots are quite common these days. Most websites have one. Sometimes they are run by human beings, sometimes by an AI.But never have seen one like ChatterPal.
Why This is Unique
ChatterPal does so much more than just letting you put out a chatbot. It also creates an avatar which can speak and convey whatever message you want it to convey.
What I Liked
The avatars are simply wicked cool. With the text to speech, it’s a feature you simply don’t see on other websites, not even from major names and I have a feeling it will help to drive conversions.
What I Didn’t Like
My one issue here is that they chose to use Amazon Polly for the text to speech. This is a service from Amazon Web Services that many, many companies hook into. The trouble is that it still sounds robotic. There are other text to speech engines which are better but the easiest one to access is Amazon Polly.
